Talking to god
Talking to God
Prayer doesn’t need to be a well-thought-out essay, profound, or even scary. Maybe you have been in a church service when the Pastor began to pray with big words and profound statements, and you have thought “I could never do that.” Relax, prayer is as simple as having a conversation with God.
The “PRAY” prayer method is simply an acronym for four elements of prayer that can keep you focused on God and what you are praying about.
P- PRAISE is how we celebrate God for what he has done.
R- REQUEST what you need, maybe healing, or help.
A- ADMIT is the way we acknowledge the wrong in our lives and ask for forgiveness.
Y- YIELD is when we stop talking and give God a chance to talk to us.

Getting Involved
Getting involved
Life can be hard and sometimes even a little messy, but the great thing is you don’t have to do it alone! God gave us the church so we can have people walk with us through all the craziness life brings. Getting involved in church puts people in your corner, surrounds you with friends, and helps you grow together. Some of the ways you can continue to grow in your faith here at Heritage are: making your faith public through water baptism, joining a group to learn from each other and ask hard questions, and serving on a team to share what the Lord has done in your life.
